Wallpaper Materials Guide
Choose the right material for your space, lifestyle, and budget.
Vinyl
Vinyl wallpapers feature a decorative vinyl layer bonded to paper or fabric backing. They are the most practical choice for Indian homes — highly durable, moisture-resistant, and incredibly easy to clean with just a damp cloth.
Non-Woven
Made from a blend of natural and synthetic fibers, non-woven wallpapers are breathable and dimensionally stable. They won't shrink or expand, making them ideal for feature walls. The paste-the-wall application makes installation faster.
Paper-Backed
Classic paper-backed wallpapers offer the widest range of prints and textures at accessible price points. Best suited for low-traffic areas like bedrooms and studies. They bring a natural, matte finish that many designers prefer.

Installation Guide
Whether you choose DIY or professional installation, here's what to expect.
Prepare the Surface
Clean the wall thoroughly, removing any dust, grease, or loose paint. Fill cracks and sand smooth. For best results, apply a wall sealer or primer to create an even surface that helps the wallpaper adhere properly and makes future removal easier.
Measure & Cut
Measure the height of your wall and add 10cm extra for trimming. Cut your wallpaper strips, matching the pattern repeat at each strip before cutting. Number each strip in order to maintain pattern continuity across the wall.
Apply Adhesive
For paper-backed wallpapers, apply paste evenly to the back of each strip. For non-woven wallpapers, apply paste directly to the wall. Use a wallpaper-specific adhesive for best results. Allow the paste to activate for the time specified on the adhesive packaging.
Hang & Finish
Starting from a corner, align the first strip using a plumb line for vertical accuracy. Smooth from center outward using a wallpaper brush. Butt-join subsequent strips, matching patterns carefully. Trim excess at ceiling and baseboards with a sharp blade. Allow 24-48 hours to dry.
Frequently Asked
Depending on the material and location, quality wallpapers last between 5-15 years. Vinyl wallpapers in well-maintained spaces can last 10-15 years. Non-woven wallpapers typically last 8-12 years, while paper-backed varieties last 5-8 years. Proper installation and avoiding direct sunlight helps maximize lifespan.
Yes! Vinyl wallpapers are specifically designed for high-moisture areas. They are water-resistant and fully washable, making them perfect for kitchens and bathrooms. Avoid paper-backed wallpapers in these areas. We recommend vinyl or vinyl-coated options for the best results.
While DIY installation is possible for smaller accent walls with non-woven wallpapers (paste-the-wall method), we recommend professional installation for the best results. Our team ensures perfect pattern matching, bubble-free application, and clean edges. Professional installation also comes with a workmanship warranty.
Measure the width of each wall you want to cover and add them together. Divide by the width of the wallpaper roll (typically 53cm) to get the number of strips needed. Then measure the wall height and account for the pattern repeat. Our team can help you calculate exact requirements during your showroom visit or consultation.
Non-woven wallpapers are the easiest to remove — they peel off in full sheets when dry, without damaging the wall. Paper-backed wallpapers require soaking and scraping. Vinyl wallpapers can also be peeled off layer by layer. Using a proper wall primer before installation makes future removal significantly easier regardless of wallpaper type.
